The One Instagram Automation Tool You Need To BLOW UP Black Friday/Cyber Monday

Chatbot Marketing

E-commerce businesses worldwide spend months preparing for the BIGGEST selling dates of the year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

However, they often use non-efficient marketing tactics that do not convert their huge follower count on their Instagram account, leading to high ad spend and a low ROI.

Many of these accounts anywhere from 10k to over 1M followers don't know that they're missing out on a HUGE strategy that will take advantage of their hard work to gain those followers.

I'm here to eliminate that pre-holiday stress, often caused by inefficient chatbots that simply schedule posts, making no money and capturing no leads.

Now, if you're wondering when you should start preparing for the biggest sale of the year, you might want to take note, after all, November is only a few months away, and there's a lot of work to be done.

But why should you take my word for it?

If we haven't met, hi, I'm Liz.

For the past three years, I've been running a DFY AI chatbot agency on a mission to change how online brands monetize their Instagram and Facebook channels, one conversation at a time.

My chatbots have sent over 50,000,000 DMs for creator and consumer brands doing anywhere between $50k/mo to $10M/mo from their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The framework I created facilitates the connection between our clients and their customers to increase sales, capture emails, and multiply your ROI all day, every day (yes, even while you and your team are asleep.)

In this blog, I share strategies that help my clients increase revenue and engagement on Meta platforms using my proprietary technology and done-for-you chat system.

With my Meta-compliant Instagram and Facebook chatbots, for every 100 people in your DMs, 90 give me their email, and 30 of them make a purchase.

Keep scrolling to find out how you can turn Facebook and Instagram posts into a personal, never-ending ATM through DM automation during BFCM.

I'll also break down the exact strategy I deployed for one of my clients that allowed them to drive over $100k/h during Black Friday by simply using FB and IG DMs.

The Basics of Instagram Automation Tools

Before we discuss how to automate Instagram posts the "GROW AI" way, I want to go over the basics of what you, as a business owner, probably already know.

Not to worry, everything I’m about to show you is 100% Meta-compliant.

The first step to opening the door to a 1-1 conversation with your Facebook or Instagram followers is through high-quality posts and stories.

Let’s say you post an Instagram story telling users to reply with a specific keyword.

When they do, an auto-DM is sent that starts a personalized conversation.

This keyword can be something like “20OFF” “BLACKFRIDAY” or “DISCOUNT.”

The chatbot sends a message after the keyword that needs to be value-driven: a free ebook, easy recipes to try, or a chance to enter a giveaway.

This immediately incentivizes them to reply.

After all, who doesn't like a cheeky discount for seemingly no reason?

And by having value-driven content you'll gain way more than you would think at first glance, something priceless when it comes to long-term strategies: email and DM lists.

In other words, getting to own your audience.

Other "priorities" can easily overshadow collecting email addresses and building DM lists by the untrained eye.

A lot of new businesses don't realize that Facebook and Instagram followers are simply a rented audience owned by Mr. Z.

Our goal is to help our clients fully own their audience, which is done by capturing email addresses and creating an email list for the future.

For example, the biggest sale of the year?

This strategy can be applied to an Instagram automation post or a reel.

Your call to action would be to “comment” a specific keyword, which will tell our personalized chatbot that it's go time.

Do you think this stops at Instagram posts and stories?

Strap on to your boots and get ready to swim in interactions and emails because you can do this with live videos, tapping a button on your website, or even engaging with your Facebook and Instagram ads.

All of these different channels lead Instagram users into a 1-1 conversation.

There are a few different potential goals for the user here:

  • Claim a nice discount code
  • Find information on a specific product
  • Answer a question about delivery times
  • Get a personalized recommendation

For our clients, we use this Instagram marketing technique to achieve two different goals:

  • Capture email addresses
  • Make more sales

One is not above the other.

These two goals work in a symbiotic manner as an organic circle to help your business reach its fullest potential, especially on the biggest selling weekend of the year.

How to Automate Instagram Posts For The Ultimate BFCM Experience

Let's get to the fun stuff: how I used my chatbot software and techniques in a Black Friday/Cyber Monday scenario.

With this Ecom brand, I mainly used Facebook Messenger.

Not to fret, Instagram can also join this party, it's just a matter of the client's preference.

For this strategy to work, we needed to get ahead of the game, so we implemented our strategy three months prior to Black Friday.

So if you're interested, you should jump in on this right away, since that three-month mark is right around the corner.

We began the hype by building a waiting list offering exclusive VIP offers.

We came up with all the ways we could capture people in the DMs using the best Instagram automation tools: stories, posts, website, and as I mentioned before, even Facebook and Instagram comments on their ads.

This client also wanted to capture everyone on their email and SMS list, on top of their DM list.

The DM list is the most important piece here; think of it as your classic email list, but living in your DMs.

It’s Meta’s new initiative that allows businesses to build a Meta-compliant DM list, that keeps users on their social media platforms.

It allows users to send out free push notifications to promote anything they want.

In this case, we created a “Secret VIP Access” DM list.

Our strategy here was:

The discounts would only be made available to people on the DM list, and in this client’s case, for only 1 hour at a time during BF week.

This gave users a higher sense of exclusivity, which increased the chances of them wanting to opt in.

Our next step was to drive traffic to the DMs.

For three months, we focused on Facebook and Instagram management by mapping out the content and scheduling posts that would be going out.

Most of it was educational and entertaining content that had a specific call to action.

One example is: “Comment SECRET to register for our Black Friday list and get exclusive access to our biggest sale of the year”

When people commented, an auto-DM was sent that captured their email, phone number AND added them to the DM list.

Now here’s where the mastermind strategy comes in!

At the END of the conversation, we said:

“You’re all set; we’ll DM you when the SECRET Black Friday Sale starts.”

This was followed by:

“By the way, if you’re in a buying mood today, use coupon X at checkout.”

It may sound crazy that this tactic alone made $50k in sales PRIOR to Black Friday.

It's even crazier that people were still taking the coupon one week before Black Friday.

Why did this have so much success?

When you engage people in your DMs, you build relationships.

Relationships SELL.

All we had to do prior to Black Friday was continue funneling people to register for the SECRET list.

We used fun and engaging challenges, giveaways, and contests, all built around the concept of community and offering value.

People LOVED it, and as a plus, it helped our client organically gain even more Facebook and Instagram growth.

The sale was open during Black Friday week for ONE hour each day and could not be accessed at any other time, giving it an extra layer of exclusivity.

To add to the level of exclusivity, we added ANOTHER layer: it was broadcast via DMs ONLY, so unless the user got into the VIP list beforehand, they were not part of the cool kids club.

This is just an example of the strategy we used with this particular client.

Different Paths, Same End Goal: A Successful BFCM Week

You can choose to go about this in multiple ways depending on what makes sense for your brand, but THESE were the elements that made this launch a success:

  1. The experience was highly personal and engaging
  2. It added scarcity: you’re either on the SECRET list, or you miss out on our biggest sale of the year.

Right now is the best time to use all the different Instagram automation tools I showed you to your advantage.

Preparing for the biggest sale of the year by nurturing the relationship with your audience will assure success and a high reward during the holiday season.
